MAIUG in association with MediAssist4U organised the Food Bank project at Pusat Kebajikan Good Shepard on the 25th of June 2016 as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme. Pusat Kebajikan Good Shepard is currently housing 8 teenagers between the age of 13 to 17 years old and 8 nuns/sisters as their caretakers. These teenagers come from difficult family backgrounds, usually facing abuse or neglect by their parents. They have several centres established in Malaysia. The team were told that the centre required medicines, either by donation or sold to them at cheaper rate. The team had a small get together with the teenagers, nuns/sisters and 6 of their staffs and served them home cooked lunch. The Food Bank project ended at around 1.30pm.
